What makes a strong, secure password?

The strongest passwords are long, unique, and easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess.

Trine IT recommends using a passphrase instead of a traditional password. The space counts as a password complexity requirements. 

A passphrase:

 - Uses multiple words (unrelated is best)
 - Is longer than a typical password
 - Is easier to remember
 - is harder for attackers to guess or crack

Tips for creating a secure passphrase:
 - Use at least 14-16 characters (longer is better)
 - Combine several words, numbers, and symbols (like adding a space between items)
 - Avoid personal information (e.g. family member names, pets, 'Trine", "Thunder")
