The new look of Microsoft Office

Beginning in 2021, Microsoft has been working with users to get their feedback on a visual refresh of Office.  With this refresh, the aim was to deliver an intuitive, coherent, and familiar experience across all the Office applications:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Access, Project, Publisher, and Visio.

As with any change, there will be and adjustment period.  The changes are subtle so the transition and your comfort with the slightly newer interface should progress quickly.

As before, Microsoft does provide various resources for assistance.  The quickest way to get help and to learn about the Office applications are right within the applications under the ‘Help’ section.  There are some slight variations in each ‘Help’ section, but clicking on ‘Help’ should provide something like this:

Clicking in the first ‘? Help’ button will provide traditional text-based assistance while the ‘Show Training’ button will provide more in depth information based on the various topics provided.
