Report Phish

If you receive a suspicious looking email, use the PhishAlarm button in your email to report it to the IT Department.



After clicking this button, the email will automatically be moved from your inbox to your junk folder. This will also trigger a copy of the email to be sent to the IT Security Analyst for review. After the email is reviewed and classified by IT, you will receive a response letting you know if the email is legitimate and further action is needed, or if it was a phishing email and further action was taken within IT. 


When you use the PhishAlarm button, additional information is included with the email when it's sent to the Security Analyst. This information is not included if you forward the email in question to IT, which is why it's so important to utilize the Report Phish button for any questionable emails.
