How to Clear Cache & Cookies
Trine University recommends using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as your browsers when using Trine-related online systems. You will experience best results for Moodle, myPortal, and other Trine websites by using Chrome or Firefox. Please feel free to reach out to Trine University's IT Services if you would like assistance installing a recommended browser. Please see solutions below:
Google Chrome:
1. With Google Chrome open, look for the three vertical dots in the top right-hand corner of the window. From that menu, select Settings:
2. Once you are in the settings menu, select Privacy and security:
3. Next, you will see Clear browsing data:
4. Open Clear browsing data and select Clear data:
Mozilla Firefox:
1. With Firefox open, look for and open the three horizontal bars in the top right-hand corner of the window; select Options:
2. Once the options menu is open, select Privacy & Security:
3. Scroll down till you see Cookies and Site Data. Once there, select Clear Data... and Clear all the checked areas:
Microsoft Edge:
1. With MS Edge open, select the three horizontal dots menu in the top right-hand corner of the window. Once that menu is open, select Settings:
2. Once you are in the settings menu, select Privacy & security:
3. Next, under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear:
4. Choose what you would like to clear (defaults are generally good) and select Clear
Internet Explorer:
1. With Internet Explorer open, select the Gear icon in the top right-hand corner of the window. With that open, select Safety:
2. Once the Safety menu opens, select Delete browsing history...
3. Lastly, select Delete:
Safari and other Apple products:
