If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it by following the instructions below. If you have locked yourself out of your account, please click here for instructions on unlocking your account. - Go to outlook.com/trine.edu and enter your email address. Alternatively, you can go to https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/ and skip to step 3.
- Click forgot my password.

You will be redirected to a screen like the one below. Enter your email address and enter the random characters shown on the screen.

Click forgot my password. If it states "You can't reset your own password..." please contact the help desk to reset your password.

You will need to complete two verification steps before resetting your password. You can select any option you prefer. In this scenario, you will email an alternate email address and enter a verification code.

After entering a verification code, you will need to complete at least one more authentication method. In this scenario, we will answer security questions.
If you do not have a personal email or security questions set up as one of your authentication methods, you can also select the option to text or call your phone number. You will enter your phone number to receive a verification code.

Type in a new password and click finish. The password must be at least 10 characters and contain 3 of the following: upper case letter, lower case letter, a number, or a special character. The password cannot contain your first, last, or username. You cannot reuse your last 10 passwords. We recommend creating a passphrase. For example, "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog!"
